FAQS

Do you see clients in person?

I currently only provide virtual, telehealth appointments and am not offering any in person services. I hope to resume in person appointments in 2023.

How do you see clients in California & Colorado?

I relocated from California to Colorado in 2021. I maintain a psychology license in California and am able to see eligible California clients via telehealth. I will obtain a secondary Colorado psychology license in 2022. In 2023, I hope to offer Coloradan clients the opportunity for both telehealth and in-person services.

Do you accept insurance?
I deal directly with insurance companies, Modern Health and Lyra. I do not deal with other insurance providers directly, but my services are reimbursable for out-of-network benefits by most insurance plans. Some questions for your insurance company:

  • Do I have behavioral health benefits?

  • Is there a deductible? How much is it and has it been met?

  • How many sessions per calendar year does my plan cover?

  • What is the covered amount per therapy session with a licensed clinical psychologist?

  • Is approval required by my primary doctor?

If requested, I will gladly generate an invoice for you to file claims with your carrier.

What is your cancellation policy?
24 hours notice is required for cancelled or rescheduled appointments. Missed appointments are charged in full.  Of course, emergencies and illness are considered.

What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept cash, checks, and credit cards*.  Payment is due at the time of service.

*Please note: While I gladly accept credit cards, I do apply the 3% transaction fee.

What about confidentiality?
The relationship between therapist and client is protected by law and information cannot be disclosed without written consent.  The only exceptions are if and when there is suspected child, elder, and dependent adult abuse/neglect or when the client threatens serious harm to self or others, in which case every effort is made to ensure the safety of those affected as required by law.
